About
Projects in a public sector, insurance agencies, healthcare and industrial companies often require a different design approach than we're used to. They are more complex: with multi-level processes, many legacies and product-specific problems. During our workshop, we will learn how to work exactly with such kind of projects.
In three days, we will figure out how to approach undocumented tasks that usually require several months of work. We're going to understand the process of creating complex forms and filters, and integrations into other systems. We will tell you how to set up processes for creating and using product specifications in complex situations, estimate the time required to complete a task, and solve them directly.
Furthermore, we'll consolidate our skills while working with real user interfaces. Every student will get recommendations and solutions for developing any component in a complex environment.

- How to use them when working with complex interfaces involving cases, QA, third-party integrations, multilingual support, including spreadsheets, visual specifications, business logic flowcharts, time capsule tools and techniques.

Complex pop-up lists
- How to work with lists which contain more than four levels of navigation on mobile devices and computers (e.g., on large universities websites).

Complex modals, overlays, and the cancel button
- Recommendations and best practices to increase CTR and reduce errors (e.g., enterprise software).

Complex multi-page forms
- Focusing on form components, structure, layout, error resolution and interaction design, including input buffering, error message blindness and error fear.

Back and refresh buttons
- Using fake data and one-off emails (e.g., complex multi-page forms with multiple columns and dozens of steps).

Enterprise spreadsheets
- Complex usage cases, inline editing, filtering, tagging and sorting on mobile devices and computers (insurance and loss prevention).

- Layout, automatic and manual application, overlay filtering, filtering and sorting intervals, best practices and recommendations (public archives, media library, large product catalogs).

Advanced autocomplete
- How to work with layout, interaction design, search query iteration templates, autocomplete blindness, faceted search, smart suggestions, preview template, recommendations and keyboard navigation.

Corporate maps
- Emphasis on maps that need to be filtered, navigated and researched, such as maps of shopping centers, real estate, theaters, stadiums, and Formula 1 events.

Infinite scrolling for complex grids
- Work with templates to quickly display data, the "load more" function and pagination. Combine these options and solve common problems, such as accessing the footer and accessing the current menu.
